Katie’s Toad in The Hole

A true British classic dish. Add onion gravy or your favourite gravy for a wonderful tasty dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 6-8 Owl Farm Original Sausages
  • 140 g Plain Flour
  • 175 ml Skimmed Milk
  • 2 Eggs

Method
 

  1. Preheat an oven to 200°C.
  2. Pour the oil into a casserole dish and add the sausages.
  3. Bake the sausages for roughly 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Turn after 5 minutes.
  4. While the sausages are cooking, sift the flour and salt into a bowl. Make a well in the middle, add the milk and eggs. Whisk until the batter is smooth.
  5. Remove the casserole dish from the oven and pour the batter over the sausages. Crank the oven up to 220°C
  6. Bake for 30-45 minutes or until the batter is puffed up and golden brown.
  7. Serve & Enjoy.
